Two Mexicans returning to the boxing and MMA scene will shake the combat sports world, as Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Henry Cejudo will return to their respective sports this week. 

In September 2022, Canelo Alvarez faced Gennady Golovkin in his final fight. Unfortunately, due to his left-hand injury, the Undisputed Middleweight champion has been out of the boxing ring ever since. Fortunately, Alvarez underwent an injury successfully, and fans will get to see their champion make a comeback in a significant fight.

Following his victory over Dominick Cruz at UFC 250, Henry Cejudo shocked many by declaring his retirement in the Octagon. However, after just under three years away, the former flyweight and bantamweight champion is back. It would be interesting to see if the Olympic gold champion can continue his amazing form this weekend, where he left off after winning six straight matches, the last three of which were stopped.

Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling will welcome "Triple C," Henry Cejudo, back to the Octagon to make his third successful title defense. A split decision victory over Petr Yan in their much-awaited rematch at UFC 273 and a second-round stoppage victory over TJ Dillashaw at UFC 280 marked Sterling's two successful championship defenses in 2022. The 33-year-old champion has a record of 22-3 overall, 9-0 in New Jersey and eight straight triumphs.

Meanwhile, the Mexican boxer, Alvarez, will make his second defense of his Undisputed middleweight championship. This time, he will compete against John Ryder, the reigning WBO Interim champion. With this fight, Canelo will be competing in his home country for the first time in 11 years, marking his return.

Two of the best fighters in the world will be back in the game this week to cement their place as the best Mexican fighter in their respective combat sports. Will "Triple C" regain his crown?
