Heavyweights Will Fill Wembley. Fury - Dillan Prediction

Hey, Fighters, we will give you a prediction for the anticipated boxing match that will air on Sunday, April 24th, 2022 4:00 AM (First Fight On The Undercard), Live On ESPN+.

This week is the anticipated fight between two heavyweights in the Wembley stadium. The lineal heavyweight champion and superstar Tyson Fury faces off against his WBC mandatory opponent Dillan Whyte on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022.

After three spectacular boxing bouts against former champ and knockout artist Deontay Wilder, Fury won the belts after securing a TKO in the second fight and successfully defended the straps in the 3rd fight against Wilder securing a knockout victory in the 11th round. Dillan Whyte earned this shot against Fury because he is the mandatory challenger for the belt ordered by the WBC.

Whyte has a record of 28-2-0, with 19 knockouts. This record includes victories over Derek Chisora, Joseph Parker, Lucas Browne, and Alexander Povetkin. He also has losses to Povetkin and heavyweight superstar Anthony Joshua. This fight is also the first fight that the Ring Magazine championship belt has been contested in the United Kingdom since Muhammad Ali fought Brian London in 1966.

Both men’s career is on the line in this bout as either man, if victorious, will cement his place as the best heavyweight in this generation. Fury is a favorite coming into this fight with his technical ability, knockout power, and the will to keep fighting through the rounds, as shown in his fight against Wilder. At the same time, Whyte will need to use his power and explosive ability to produce a knockout to stop Fury and claim the heavyweight straps.

If Whyte wins this bout, he will become the lineal heavyweight champion (The word “lineal” means “of, involving, or derived from direct descent.” Lineal Champions are descended from” the boxer who won the initial box-off, which started a lineage. A champion leaving his division or retiring will end that particular lineage making the title vacant again.) and undoubtedly will stop the momentum of the rising Tyson Fury from becoming the heavyweight GOAT. If Fury wins the bout, he will cement himself as the best heavyweight by beating everyone and everybody in the division except the newly crowned champion Usyk and the falling superstar known as Anthony Joshua.

“Fury has stated that he will try to knock Whyte out. His trainer, Sugar Hill Steward, has also indicated that Fury will seek a knockout. If he decides to stand in the pocket and fight, Fury will give up his range and battle Whyte on his terrain. Whyte is an excellent body-puncher and tends to excel at close range. If Whyte wins, it will likely be by wearing down the taller man with hard hooks to the body,” Quoted from Sportskeeda.com.

My prediction: Tyson Fury will win this fight by TKO in the middle rounds and probably retire or challenge Joshua or Usyk for his final match as an active champion.
