A Night Of Legends
Saturday's latest Triller Fight Club attraction features legends from the boxing and mixed martial arts scene. The highlight reel of this event is the first-round knockout victory of Anderson "The Spider" Silva against "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" Tito Ortiz. In the main event, fellow MMA legend Vitor Belfort replicated the feat with a TKO victory of 58-year-old retired boxing champion Evander Holyfield.
Silva barely broke a sweat against Tito Ortiz, who didn't even make weight for this bout. Silva was bopping & weaving Ortiz's barrage of hooks before producing a counter-punch that sends Ortiz down to the canvas. As Shaun Al-Shatti from MMA Fighting said, "the old "Spider" emerged from its slumber — that mystical arachnid who delights in playing with his food, bobbing and weaving and luring his prey into a false web of security before exploding in one dazzling burst of ultraviolence that demands multiple angles and replays to fully understand".
As both MMA legends stunningly won their respective bouts, people are already talking about who they are going to face next. Both fighters hint at facing against the Paul brothers, as they usually target MMA fighters instead of fighting professional boxers. For Belfort, a match against De La Hoya is probably next, as they are supposed to fight in this event but canceled at the last moment because De La Hoya contracted Covid-19. As for the future of Silva, I say whoever he faces next in the squared circle, he will continue his fantastic career revival.
