What’s Next for The Predator?
UFC 260 did not disappoint. A much anticipated rematch between Francis Ngannou (16-3) and Stipe Miocic (20-4) for the Heavyweight title is one for the books. Not a minute into the 2nd round, The Predator delivered a vicious left followed by a thundering hammer fist that rocked Stipe and prompt Herb Dean to put him out of his misery. We know he has the power, after 4 straight knockout wins preceding the bout, but damn, now he has proved himself deserving of the UFC undisputed heavyweight champion.
The question is, what’s next for Ngannou? Who will he fight next?
One possibility is Derrick Lewis, the last guy Francis lost to prior to his 5 straight wins of pure dominance. It could be a good revenge story and Derrick is no pushover either. After scoring his 12th KO win in UFC Fight Night 185, he tied Vitor Belfort for the most knockouts in UFC history. But Dana White needs to give the fans what they want. Enter, Jon “Bones” Jones. Rumor has it a deal is in the works for the fight to happen. But they’re having issues in negotiations with both superstars wanting to get a huge payday for a fight of this caliber (source: MMA Fighting).
But if we know Dana, we know this card is too good to pass up.
