UFC 303: Pereira Dominates Procházka, Lopes Shines in Co-Main Event

UFC 303 unfolded tonight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, delivering a thrilling night of mixed martial arts action. Here's a recap of the main event and other significant bouts.

Main Event: Alex Pereira vs. Jiří Procházka

In the night's highlight bout, light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira defended his title against former titleholder Jiří Procházka. Pereira showed why he is a special human in the combat world with his absolutely crazy power in his hands, securing a TKO victory with a stunning head kick early in the second round. This victory marks Pereira's second successful title defense since becoming the light heavyweight champion. His previous defense at UFC 300 saw him defeating Jamahal Hill via first-round stoppage.

Here are the reactions for the main event fight, former rival and light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill said “I’ll sleep the next guy and then we go again!!! Great win but we are not done!!!, former featherweight champion Aljamain Sterling said “Damn!!!! What a finish!!!”

Pereira and Procházka first met at UFC 295, where their bout was elevated to main event status following UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones' injury. With his latest win, Pereira hinted at a potential move up to the heavyweight division in his post-fight interview.

Alex Pereira for us has solidify his place in stone in the world of combat sports, with all of his victories earning by knockout, to becoming the fastest two-division champ in the UFC, as well as being an active fighter who is always ready to compete against anybody in the UFC roster, what comes next is going to be legendary, whether it’s in heavyweight or maybe consistently defending his light heavyweight strap, we are here in the era of “Poatan”, the final words from us for this amazing victory is : CHAMA!

Co-Main Event: Diego Lopes vs. Dan Ige

The co-main event saw a dramatic last-minute change when Dan Ige stepped in on four hours' notice to replace an ill Brian Ortega. Ige faced the streaking Diego Lopes in a 165-pound catchweight bout. Despite the short notice, Ige delivered a commendable performance, but Lopes emerged victorious with a unanimous decision.

Joe Pyfer vs. Marc-André Barriault

In a middleweight clash, Joe Pyfer made a statement with a swift and decisive victory over Marc-André Barriault. Pyfer needed just over a minute to secure a knockout, adding another highlight reel finish to his resume.

Ian Garry vs. Michael Page

Ian Garry continued his undefeated streak with a unanimous decision win against Michael Page. Garry's performance was methodical and dominant, further cementing his status as a rising star in the welterweight division.

It's so exciting to be a UFC fan, isn't it?
