Introducing HWKY Combat Lab
HWKY Combat Lab opened without a launch event or public announcement. The gym began operating when the equipment was installed and coaches were in place. Classes started on schedule. Training followed immediately.
The gym operates on a semi private class system. Each session is capped at four athletes. That number does not change based on demand. When a class reaches capacity, registration closes. Coaches do not take additional athletes onto the floor.
Training is focused on boxing and Muay Thai. Sessions follow a fixed structure. Warm up comes first. Technical drills follow. Pad work is done next. Conditioning closes the session. Cool down ends the class. The order remains consistent across all levels.
Athletes are grouped by experience. Beginners train separately from intermediate athletes. Advanced athletes are placed in their own sessions. Movement quality determines placement, not time spent in the gym. Level changes only occur after coach evaluation.
Foundational work is prioritized. Stance is corrected. Guard position is adjusted. Balance is checked during movement. Foot placement is addressed repeatedly. Breathing is monitored during drills and pad rounds. These elements are revisited every session.
Coaches remain active throughout class. Pads are held with clear intent. Corrections are given immediately. Errors are not allowed to repeat across rounds. Coaches stay within armโs reach during drills. No athlete trains without supervision.
Progress is tracked across multiple sessions. Athletes are not evaluated from a single day of training. Coaches observe consistency, pacing, and control. Improvements are recorded mentally and revisited in later sessions. Regression is addressed directly during training.
Sparring is restricted to advanced classes only. Beginners and intermediate athletes do not spar. Advanced sparring is scheduled. Rounds are supervised. Intensity is controlled. Pairings are selected by coaches. Sessions stop if control drops.
The physical layout supports these rules. The training floor remains clear. Equipment is positioned where it is actively used. There are no decorative stations. Space is kept open to allow movement and correction. Coaches maintain visibility across the floor.
The gym operates inside the Hawkeye Fightwear store. Training and retail areas are separated. Training sessions do not pause for foot traffic. Classes begin and end on time regardless of store activity.
HWKY Combat Lab follows the same operating standards Hawkeye Fightwear has applied since 2012. Training emphasizes consistency. Attendance is tracked. Technique is repeated. Conditioning is maintained throughout the week. Sessions are not altered for novelty.
The gym does not run open floor hours. All training is class based. Walk in training is not permitted. Equipment use is limited to scheduled sessions.
HWKY Combat Lab is located on Jalan Gandaria 1, South Jakarta. The gym operates on a fixed schedule. Classes run throughout the week. Coaches are present during all sessions.
